I am Alex, a co-founder of MeBloom. I was in my third trimester when the dreaded lockdowns started, and the excitement of my pregnancy was quickly replaced by insecurity and stress. I was locked up inside not only the house, but also my anxious mind, responsible for the wellbeing of two beating hearts – my baby’s and mine.
Blooming away
Peak of pandemic. Our baby was born! The smashing avalanche of oxytocin made up for the troublesome experience. I was wrapped up in that exciting motherhood experience. And here’s where the story of MeBloom began.
It’s time to take your power back
I imagined how much more empowered I would feel if I had more self-care moments and allowed myself to slow down, to feel the transformation my body and mind were undergoing. What if I could create something for women going through similar experiences?
Still, nothing would be possible without Niki, my best friend and my son’s godmother. She saw the potential in the MeBloom idea and together we’ve made a real dream team fueled by girl power. The path was thorny. But we transformed our idea from a piece of paper into a bona fide company. All thanks to supporting each other and believing in ourselves.
